Hi, I’m Karina

I’m portrait photographer currently based in Auckland, New Zealand.

My journey started with drawing. I’ve always been drawn to color, shadows, and light. Over time, that passion moved from the canvas to the screen — first through digital art, and eventually into photography.

It began as a curiosity: how light moves across a face, how emotion lives in small gestures, how a certain color can shift the entire feeling of an image. Photography became the place where everything I loved — visual rhythm, people, raw feeling — came together.

Years ago, I left a stable, well-paid job and moved abroad to follow this calling. Since then, I’ve lived and worked in three countries, building a career and community through the lens.

What matters most to me is that my work helps people see themselves differently — with strength, softness, complexity, and beauty. I want my shoots to feel effortless and electric. I want you to leave not just with photos, but with a feeling: “this is me — and I love what I see.”
